Process for the continuous and noninvasive measurement of weight in live animals or humans

Inventors:

A great solution for agri-business, fitness, and medicine. Disclosed is a system for measuring, in a continuous and non-invasive manner, the weight of a live animal or human without a classical weight-measuring device, such as a scale.

Amino acid calculator

Inventors:

The perfect marketing piece for any reagents supply company. A convenient, easy-to-use calculator computes the relevant amino acid residue name, based on a translation and knowledge of the amino acid residue's corresponding three letter nucleotide code. The calculator comprises a circular slide rule of two superimposed disks, the lower disk being of larger diameter than the upper disk. The two disks are mounted for relative rotation by means of an axially disposed pivot, pin, rivet, or other means transfixing the disks for ease of rotation about their centers.  Proper amino acid name is visible when the three letter alphabetic nucleotide code is made visible through the central viewfinder residing on the upper disk.

Mechanism to deter counterfeit pharmaceuticals

Inventors:

A convenient, easy-to-manufacture, and easy-to-use mechanism deters rogue companies from the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The deterrent mechanism is based on a non-toxic, edible, and tamper-proof substrate.

Method of detecting counterfeit pharmaceutical delivery vehicles

Inventors:

A convenient, easy-to-manufacture, and easy-to-use method to detect, and deter rogue companies from, the manufacture and distribution of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The method of detection and deterrent mechanism are based on a non-toxic, edible, and tamper-proof ultraviolet fluorescent substrate which, upon exposure to a source of ultraviolet light, illuminates to potentially reveal a previously hidden graphical symbol or image embedded on the surface of the pharmaceutical delivery vehicle. Essentially, fluorescence of the device residing on or embedded in the pharmaceutical delivery vehicle, and potentially, comparison of the revealed symbol or image to that provided by the manufacturer associated with the source of the pharmaceutical, serves to confirm the authenticity of the pharmaceutical in question.
